Barbaricum is seeking a Part-Time Systems Engineer to support the continued development in capabilities and new techniques for the Air Force Critical Asset Risk Management (CARM) programs and Mission Assurance (MA) activities at Joint Base Anacostia-BollingThe Air Force Critical Asset Management (AF-CAMS) database development, maintenance, and operation remains a key element to CARM
This individual will be responsible for the systems engineering and database management for the AF-CAMS database and ensuring feasible technical solutioning, baselining required information, and developing, performing, and analyzing tests supporting successful operations on USAF and DoD networks
This team will lead the Air Force's continued transition into the Next Generation of AF-CAMS
Responsibilities:
Supports AF-CAMS NG Database Development
Designs, develops, performs, and analyzes tests to determine solution suitability
Evaluates SQL and web-based applications
Oversees Mission Assurance and Air Force Critical Asset Management System activities Ensures quality and DoD network compliant products are delivered Qualifications:
Active DoD TS/SCI
Security + CE
BA/BS Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields
7 years' experience to include knowledge of VM Ware, and Databases
Experience with human-centered design and gathering and applying user feedback to system analysis
Experience enabling Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Proficiency with SQL
Experience working with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
Familiarity working in an AWS environment Understanding of modern software development including containers, CI/CD, test-driven development
Ability to define and lead high impact system-level deliverables
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding of the trade-offs between waterfall, agile, kanban, MVP, and accelerated sprint methodologies strongly desired
