    Position Overview
    A respected healthcare facility in Morgantown, WV is seeking an experienced Travel Pathology Assistant for a 13‑week assignment.

    This weekday day‑shift role is ideal for a PA with strong grossing skills who is comfortable handling both routine and complex surgical specimens.

    The environment is fast‑paced, collaborative, and well‑suited for a detail‑oriented professional who can work independently while supporting a high‑volume pathology service.

    Requirements
    ASCP certification
    Bachelor's Degree in a related field
    1+ year of Pathology Assistant experience
    Proficiency in simple and complex gross examination
    Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols
    Responsibilities
    Perform gross examination and dissection of simple and complex surgical specimens
    Prepare specimens for histologic processing following established guidelines
    Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and workflow management
    Collaborate with pathologists, histotechnologists, and lab staff to maintain efficient turnaround times
    Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
    Support daily operations by ensuring equipment and workspaces remain organized and ready for use
