    Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor is now seeking applicants for positions at our campus Janitorial staff is responsible for a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of classrooms, offices and various other locations.

    The work involves keeping the campus environment healthy and safe for students, staff, and Faculty. This position is a part-time, hourly position working approximately 29.5 hours per week Monday
    • Friday.
    Work shifts are flexible, but will depend on department needs. Janitorial staff report to the Manager of Janitorial Staff at the CUAA Ann Arbor, Michigan campus.

    Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize restroom facilities and related fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms; clean and sanitize drinking fountainsSweep, vacuum, mop, waxDust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures and equipmentWash windows, mirrors and walls; wash tables and chairs as required Replace lights and adjust shades and blindsEmpty, clean and sanitize waste receptaclesIdentify and report building maintenance needs to supervisorAssist in other custodial and maintenance on an as needed basisPerform other related duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial workKnowledge of safe work practices and ability to use safe work practicesAbility to clean and care for assigned areas and equipmentKnowledge and ability to use a variety of custodial equipment, supplies and materialsAbility to understand and follow written and oral directionsAbility to prioritize and organize work assignments and follow a work schedule and work independentlyAbility to supervise student workersAbility to move and lift heavy objectsAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff and students Education and/or TrainingHigh School diploma or G.E.D.One-to-three years of work related experience preferred.

    Compensation and BenefitsThis is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position working approximately 29.5 hours per week. Starting wage is dependent on individual qualifications and experience.
