    Job Responsibilities:

    • Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products
    Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators and squaresJobsite coordination between trades for installation of duct and equipmentFasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will lastInstall assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters and furnace casings in supportive frameworksEnsure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing HVAC systemsUse hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearanceInstallation of air handlers, VAV boxes, roof top units, heatersSelect the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specificationsEnsure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal

    Sheet Metal Skills & Qualifications

    • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
    Ability to receive and follow instructions xhmxlyz and communicate with co-workersAbility to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelinesAbility to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and statusAbility to lift 50lbs

    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    Ability to lift heavy materials and toolsMust be able to read and interpret blueprintsExcellent math skills

    Preferred

    • 1-4 years of sheet metal experience
    OSHA certificationKnowledge of building codesState trade license
