    Summary/Objective:


    Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Campus Operations will assume overall responsibility for efficiently and effectively managing campus operations and IT infrastructure at Grace Place.


    The Director, Campus Operations has the responsibility for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe campus for students, staff, and the public; overseeing the facilities and operational needs of classroom activities and events; maintenance and security of the campus; IT needs, minimizing property damage, loss, and liability exposure, security; ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper, and timely manner; and overseeing and supporting custodians in the performance of their assignments.

    The Director of Campus Operations is also responsible for overseeing the operation of the Food Pantry.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    As a Grace Place Leader, promotes cooperation and teamwork among employees; establishes high standards of conduct and job performance; maintains open communication channels; works well with others at various levels; keeps information flowing to the appropriate parties vertically (up as well as down) and horizontally (with members of the lead team); involves others and shares power in planning and decision-making; delegates work; leads by example.

    Manages, leads, coaches, and develops a team of department employees.

    Divides and assigns work effectively, delegating appropriate levels of freedom and authority; establishes and makes use of an effective staff team; fosters leadership in others; ensures that job descriptions are developed and that regular performance evaluations are held and documented; recruits and retains exceptional staff; provides for staff training and encourages staff development; maintains records.

    Supervises volunteers.

    Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions, assures all staff members are properly trained to perform their job duties.

    Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the building sites.

    Prepares written/electronic materials (e.g., work orders, safety inspections, supply requisitions, inventory records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or relating information to administration for action.

    Demonstrates good judgment, trustworthiness, dependability, promptness, flexibility, and emotional maturity.

    Functions as a strategic business advisor to the executive management team and provides valuable insights, guidance, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

    Works with housekeeping, security, maintenance, and A/V to organize external and internal events on campus.
    Assists with events as needed.
    Facilities and Transportation

    Oversees the Grace Place physical facility infrastructure, including risk management plan and insurance coverages, information technology (IT), security, fire/safety, physical plant management, Food Pantry, and transportation functions.

    Oversees and inspects facilities to ensure that the site is suitable for safe operations, is maintained in an attractive and clean condition, and identifies necessary repairs to facilities and/or equipment, etc.

    Oversees facility maintenance activities and assigned custodial personnel for the purpose of ensuring functions are performed efficiently in compliance with site requirements and established standards.

    Oversees transportation operations as it relates to scheduling and maintenance.

    Consults with administrative personnel for the purpose of planning, prioritizing, and achieving site maintenance objectives and provides information for the direction regarding activities, safety issues, and/or proper maintenance of facilities and/or equipment.

    Oversees the preparation of the site for daily operations as may be required for the purpose of ensuring facilities are operational and hazard-free.

    Under the direction of the CEO, the Director of Campus Operations will lead the campus's 5-year maintenance and replacement plan.

    Food Pantry
    Oversees the Food Pantry operation, assuring the safe handling of food and food items.
    Directs partnerships with food providers.
    Oversees the registration tracking of both food and clients.
    Works with the Volunteer Coordinator to hold an annual training for returning volunteer staff.
    Procurement and Budget
    Directs the campus procurement process.
    Requisitions equipment, supplies, and materials to maintain the availability of required items and complete jobs efficiently.

    Works with the lead staff team to develop an appropriate department budget; assures adequate practices and accounting of all funds within the department; maintains records exhibits commitment to good stewardship of all organizational resources and utilizes finances, budgets, facilities, equipment, materials, and products to minimize costs; actively practices cost containment; effectively utilizes volunteers.

    Acts as a negotiator between Grace Place and vendors/suppliers on procurement contracts; keeps informed of all new developments relative to available resources; makes recommendations designed to reduce costs; and updates systems.

    Safety
    Serves as a staff liaison to the Campus and Safety Committee of the Board of Directors.

    Working with the Campus and Safety Committee and insurance carrier meets quarterly to review the Risk Management Plan and implement any needed changes.

    Develops, updates, trains for, and implements Campus Emergency Preparedness Plan, and Safety Plan.
    Serves as liaison with the County Emergency Management Department.
    Monitors students, visitors, and staff in and around work areas to prevent injuries and ensure site safety.

    Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g., facility damage, vandalism, alarms, etc.) to take appropriate action and/or notify appropriate personnel for resolution.

    Technology
    Staying abreast of emerging technologies that can improve IT performance.
    Provides direction and support to the IT Manager.
    In collaboration with the IT Manager and IT providers, ensure that IT strategies and processes appropriately support company-wide goals.
    Overseeing contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors, and service providers.
    Communicating with other executives regarding costs, value, and risk potential of new IT projects.



    Qualifications:


    Education:
    College degree or equivalent; IT certification and/or experience preferred

    Experience:
    5 years of experience supervising employees and working with others in a service capacity required.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
    Strong ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish is required.
    Functional expertise in using and managing operations software systems.
    Perform the physical requirements necessary to meet job requirements.
    Proficiency in process optimization and risk management

    Work Environment:


    The position requires working in numerous locations, which include varied temperatures, noise levels, and other factors that may affect a person's working conditions while performing the job.

    Position Type and

    Expected Working Hours:
    Full-time Anticipated working hours of approximately 8:30 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday, including some evenings and weekends as needed.

    Physical Demands:
    Bending, sitting, and standing for long periods of time. It may require lifting objects weighing up to 25 lbs. as needed.

    Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must successfully complete a background check with FDLE fingerprinting.
