- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions, potentially including shoulder and elbow pathology.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, incorporating surgical and non-surgical interventions based on the severity and nature of the condition.
- Perform a variety of hand surgeries, including fracture fixation, tendon repairs, joint replacements, nerve repairs, and other specialized hand surgeries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide coordinated care.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment options, potential risks, and expected outcomes to enable informed decision-making.
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans in electronic medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements.Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in orthopedics and hand surgery.
- Completion of Orthopedic surgery residency
- Completion of an accredited Hand Surgery fellowship program.
- Active medical license in Michigan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records.Benefits:
