    Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
    The APEX Accelerators program focuses on building a strong, sustainable, and resilient U.S.

    supply chains by assisting a wide range of businesses that pursue and perform under contracts with the DoD, other federal agencies, state and local governments and with government prime contractors.

    Responsible for providing specific information and assistance to clients, managing client activity and documenting the assistance provided to ensure accurate case management and compliance with contract reporting requirements for the APEX Accelerator of the Maryland Small Business Development Center ( MDSBDC ).


    Education:
    Bachelors degree in a business-related fieldExperience:Six (6) + years experience in government contract/procurement activities and manage reports, analyses and advice to support procurement decision-making

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Working knowledge of FAR , DOD and other procurement regulations.
    Working knowledge of federal, state and local government regulatory processes related to the procurement of goods and services.

    Skills to exercise considerable judgment, innovation, and discretion in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across all levels of the organization and with external individuals and groups.

    Ability to interact and present information in a clear and concise manner.
    Ability to conduct independent research; analyze and interpret results and develop comprehensive reports and proposals.

    Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and to adapt workload to changing University of Maryland, government and corporate priorities.


    Preferences:

    Preferences:
    Certified training in the procurement field is highly desirable.
    Knowledge of contract bidding, bid rules, bid protest rules, allowable costs, construction bonding and material submittals.
    Knowledge of government finance contracting process including cost principles, price analysis, negotiation, cost/schedule management and performance phases.
