    Description
    Job summary - To maintain and upkeep exterior and interior painted surfaces and keep it up to hotel standards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities) The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:


    • Paints all walls on property that need painting in house.
    • Some exterior painting a/e stucco walls, door trim, doors, etc.
    • Repair damaged walls.
    • Keep and update color code books.
    • Order and maintain supplies needed.
    • Repair wall covering.
    • Install wall covering.
    • Sand wood furniture
    • Stain wood furniture.

    Other Standard Responsibilities Experience

    • Two years experience as a painterGeneral Skills
    • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
    Technical Skills

    • Ability to stretch and squat on a frequent basis.
    • Ability to climb ladder.
    • Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.
    Education or Certification - Language

    • Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
    Physical Requirements -

    • Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

    Pay The pay scale for this position is between $29.20 and $34.00/hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.

    Decisions regarding individual rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel luxury experience and/or Fine Dining Restaurant Experience.
