    Unit Description

    Cardiology Step-Down Units 7300 and 3200/7100 are currently offering a $5,000 commitment bonus to New Grad Registered Nurses joining Duke. These units at Duke University Hospital provide an excellent career pathway within the Heart Services Department. New graduates will have the opportunity to work with high acuity patients, benefit from low nurse-to-patient ratios, and advanced professional development opportunities.

    Job Summary

    Join Duke University Health System as a Clinical Nurse and prioritize service excellence while delivering holistic patient care in a patient-centered environment. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care, following the nursing process, and participating in professional development activities and projects to enhance patient care. Actively engage in maintaining outstanding customer service and building respectful relationships with patients and colleagues.

    Work Schedule

    Various shifts available: Day, Night, or Rotating 3-12 Shifts

    Responsibilities

    As a Clinical Nurse, you will plan, provide, and supervise nursing care, individualize care plans, delegate tasks, lead a team of care providers, maintain a safe environment of care, participate in professional development, and identify areas for performance improvement.

    Qualifications

    Education: Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing; enrollment in a BSN program within two years of starting. Experience: No experience required, comprehensive training provided. Licensure: Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina, BLS certification.
