Position Summary:

The New Product Development - Applications Engineer will help lead in the growth of a quickly expanding heat transfer product line.

The role will be both project management driven as well as focus within the development of new tools and standards.

The position will be supported with industry leading talent to aid in defining the future tools and standards for the applications department.

This function directly supports our growing sales and design efforts to develop custom cooling system solutions for the heavy equipment industry.

This position will be a direct report to the Applications Engineering Manager.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides technical & sales support to clients with detailed layouts and cost analysis in conjunction with the sales and engineering design team.

Provides engineering department support by generating accurate design basis by the use of standards and tools.
Drives the development of accurate engineering specifications for design and/or procurement of subsystems, components, and engineering services.

Drives the development of written proposals, instructions, manuals, and other documentation that may be distributed to customers or internal users.

Assists design engineering with the development of schematics or drawings.
Reviews documents such as customer design specifications and requests to determine feasibility of design and applicability.
Generates cost estimates, quotations and performs the necessary follow-up activities to facilitate new business.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the heat transfer industry as well as project management driven skill set with an outgoing attitude to drive continued focus and growth to achieve set milestones for development of the tools and standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills, and Education:

BS in

Mechanical/Chemical

Engineering or

Mechanical/Chemical

Engineering Technology
Minimum 2 years related work experience in related industry
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals
Proven record of accomplishment in generating innovative and practical ideas
Exceptional customer service, time management and teamwork skills are a must


Helpful Experience:

Heat Exchangers:
Bar & Plate, Air Cooled products & general heat transfer
Project management
Quality System Processes, ISO, APQP

KULI
Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
MS Office with a strong focus in excel based tools
