SCITES Configuration Analyst

This role will actively advance our efforts for tailored CMDB delivery and enhance our offerings for customer environments and provide interesting and compelling work for our employees.

Additionally, you will be responsible and accountable for the development and implementation of results focused, innovative solutions to a wide range of activities related to technology, process improvement, and configuration management that serve to support effective business operations, improve performance, and achieve operational outcomes.

Requirements:

• Engage directly Enterprise Service Delivery to provide subject matter expertise in Configuration Management, Change Management, operationalized within the Enterprise CMDB capabilities across the SCITES Program
• Bring our CMDB solutioning capabilities to life for our customers
• Enable and optimize Continuous Service Improvement efforts across the SCITES Program, creating connectivity between disparate program efforts to provide best of breed innovation to the mission we support
• Operationalize proposed CMDB capabilities, in transition periods, leading service assessments of current environment capabilities and status to bootstrap CMDB tool implementation within the ITSM Platform
• Engage in efforts to harmonize ITSM and IT Ops toolchain solutions, working with system engineers to ensure tool chains proposed and deployed align to meet customer specific use cases
• Support toolchain design, with focus on a how the IT Tool Ecosystem is leveraged to support accuracy and consistency of CMDB data across the enterprise
• Lead program teams' execution of all aspects of Configuration Management
• Work with the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) Lead and evaluate impacts of recommended initiatives and projects and drive delivery of advanced Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes and tooling solutions that meet the customer's use cases
• Champion organizational change management efforts that impact internal engineering, operations, and service delivery operations within the program's technical teams
• Design and implement strategies for the development, deployment, and optimization of CMDB in ServiceNow other enterprise ITSM platform systems, ensure alignment with business objectives and goals, and align with ITIL best practices
• Lead and facilitate technical discussions with SMEs and teams, driving integration and operationalization of CMDB solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of CMDB with ITSM platforms ensuring the alignment with business processes
• Develop and deliver training and documentation to various technical teams and stakeholders, enabling effective utilization of CMDB systems
• Lead discussions and provide strategic advice, guiding the organization on best methods to leverage the CMDB to achieve business objectives

Education:

• Bachelor's degree with a focus in computer science, engineering, or a related field of study

Certifications

• ITIL v- preferred
• ITIL Expert or ITIL Managing Professional Certification - strongly recommended/preferred

Experience:

• 5 years+ of progressive technical implementation, team leadership, and customer relationship experience
• Experience in strategic planning, including contributing recommendations with supporting data and preparing and executing action plans
• Proven proficiency in analyzing, evaluating, and overcoming program risks across multiple project teams
• Demonstrated Technical Knowledge and experience in continual service improvement
• Demonstrated knowledge of incident management, problem management, change management, Knowledge management as well as request fulfillment
• Experience working with Government/Military programs

Security Clearance:

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
