    Job Duties


    Northern Virginia Mental Institute (NVMHI), partof the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services (DBHDS) is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join their Human Resources Department.

    The selected candidate will have previous HR experience and demonstrate a broad scope of HR programs including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits and performance management.


    Competitive candidates will have impeccable time-management, organization skills, be a critical thinker, tech savy, eager to learn and have excellent customer service skills.

    Additionally, they must have the ability to analyze data and reach conclusions which are logical and legally supportable and counsel and managers and employees.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Proven work experience in Human Resources (required). Prior recruiting and knowledge of HR generalist duties. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulation affecting HR. Microsoft suite experience.

    Additional Considerations

    Graduation from a college or university with a degree in HR, organizational development, business administration or related field. PHR certification.
