    We are a long-standing, local CPA firm in the Colorado Springs area, specializing in serving small businesses and their owners.

    • Tax Accountant/Manager.

    Position Overview:
    Our primary focus is small business clients and individuals generally within the local area. Our services include accounting, tax, consulting, payroll and write up. The Tax Accountant/ Manager will prepare income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts/estates, and individuals.

    This position will oversee general ledger, payroll services performed by other staff members as it relates to the ongoing tax and managerial consulting for our CAS (Client Accounting Service) clients.

    The position entails direct client interaction.

    From the beginning, you will be a part of a mentoring program in which you will be working side by side with experienced staff and principals who are committed to both your success and the firm's.

    Responsibilities Prepares and reviews and signs off on a variety of tax returns, including individual, partnerships, S corporation, C corporations, trust, gift, estate Manage and review high-level accounting and returns for business and individual clients.

    Work with the client and staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.

    Research tax issues and legislation and exercise professional judgment with respect to issue identification to develop solutions to tax issues in returns Identify and communicate tax and accounting issues to staff, as well as managers and partners Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for multiple clients.

    Perform financial analysis to provide valuable insights to Senior Management. Responsible for various financial (GAAP) and regulatory (FERC) reporting Conduct depreciation analysis and reconciliations Requirements Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting or business administration 3+ years of experience CPA Certification Required Experience specializing in High Net-Worth Individuals, or Flow Through Entity Taxation Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients Capacity to perform responsibilities independently and in a team environment Superb organizational skills Highly motivated self-starter
