    Jasmine Engineering, Inc. has been in business for the past 40 years and was founded by Jasmine Azima, P.E., CxA. The firm is a registered Professional Engineering Firm providing services nationwide.

    Jasmine Engineering is in the business of providing Commissioning and Owner's Representative services to Owners who are involved in planning, developing, and operating facilities of all types. Jasmine Engineering does not provide design services.

    Jasmine Engineering provides Building Envelope Commissioning, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems Commissioning, and Owner's Representative services that are tailored to each client and project specifications. Throughout the years, Jasmine Engineering has successfully provided services on a variety of complex projects nationwide, including many significant projects for the State of Texas, City of San Antonio, Bexar County, the City of Austin, and numerous higher education clients as well as a variety of commercial entities throughout the U.S. To date, the company has successfully completed over 1000+ projects representing a consolidated total construction cost of over $30 billion.

    About the Job

    Immediate opening for experienced Commissioning Agent for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems on projects ranging from $50 million to $1 billion in construction cost. Professional Engineer (PE) registration is favorable. Professional certification as Commissioning Agent from a recognized certification entity is required.

    POSITION DUTIES:

    • Manage and provide Pre-construction, Construction Phase and Post-Construction Phase Commissioning Services for Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Systems.
    • Perform building commissioning services during design phases, Construction Documents, and Construction Documents phases.
    • Coordinate responses to RFI's and contractor questions with the design team.
    • Review submittals.
    • Work with the design team to resolve design issues that arise during the commissioning process.
    • Conduct on-site observation visits.
    • Develop/review Owner's Project Requirements (OPR).
    • Review design documents vs. OPR.
    • Prepare commissioning plans and specifications.
    • Conduct and document commissioning meetings.
    • Prepare pre-functional checklists.
    • Observe and report on installation of MEP systems and other building systems commissioned.
    • Implement Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and document deficiencies.
    • Prepare system manuals.
    • Perform warranty walk-through reviews.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent four-year technical engineering degree.
    • Must have a working knowledge of commissioning requirements pertaining to HVAC, ASHRAE guidelines/standards, and DDC control systems, etc.
    • Experience with mechanical system operation and installation.
    • Certification as Commissioning Authority is desirable.
    • 5+ years experience focusing on commissioning is desirable.

    SKILLS:

    • Related Computer skills
    • Good communication skills are essential (written and verbal).

    • Weekend availability
