    The purpose of your role as a Senior Buyer

    As a Senior Buyer focusing on Construction Materials, you will manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle of components (Pipe, Valves, Fittings, Hangers, Ducting, Equipment and controls large mechanical construction projects), which includes planning & executing purchase orders, and determining transport for these orders on/off the job site.

    You will ensure equipment & materials land at the lowest total cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need.

    In addition, you will drive purchasing best in class practices across the team, within the company and into the supply base.

    This role will be accountable for driving supplier relationships that lead to the development of additional value, improved operational efficiencies, and long-term cost avoidance.


    What we're looking for in you

    • Bachelors degree required in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field
    • 7+ years of sourcing and supplier management experience
    • 7+ years of material/equipment purchasing and expediting experience in the construction industry or equivalent
    • 7+ years of understanding of organizational purchasing/procurement processes and procedures
    • Experience forecasting and planning materials
    • Knowledge of the construction industry (Pipes, Valves and Fittings and HVAC mechanical systems)
    • Knowledge of procurement/vendor inspection techniques and requirements
