Description

Our client, a fast growing, commercial stage international biotech company based in New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Privacy to be a key business partner and a senior member of the legal leadership team, reporting directly to the General Counsel and serving the Company's Privacy Officer.

Key Responsibilities include managing and handling all aspects of data privacy and security matters for the Company and be designated as, and function as, the Company's Privacy Officer, and provide advice about applicable data privacy and security laws, such as HIPAA, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and GDPR.

A minimum of 10 years legal experience, including at least 8 years of experience in a privacy-focused role, with deep understanding of the data protection laws, requirements and regulator expectations impacting a global biopharmaceutical company.
