Founded in 1946, Idle Hour Country Club is one of the most exclusive private clubs in the state of Kentucky. Operating by invitation only, the Club presents a reserved charm, impeccable quality, and a quiet presence in its community where members can escape the bustle of Lexington to enjoy unhurried serenity.
The Club offers a variety of dining options for all occasions. The Main Bar, Grill Room, and Grill Patio offer casual dining while the Club Dining Room is formal and adult-only. There are also several spaces for private events that can service parties of any size from a private dinner for 10 to a wedding reception of 500. These include various meeting and gathering rooms as well as the ballroom and ballroom terrace.
Role Description:
As a Receptionist/Marketing Assistant at our prestigious private country club, you will serve as the initial point of contact for members and guests, ensuring exceptional customer service and administrative support. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the club's marketing efforts, promoting events, and maintaining communication channels with members and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet members and guests with a warm and professional demeanor, providing assistance and information as needed.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or personnel.
Maintain the reception area, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.
Assist in coordinating club events, including promotions, member communications, and logistics.
Support marketing initiatives by creating content for social media platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to attract new members and enhance member engagement.
Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for club growth.
Update and maintain member databases and mailing lists accurately.
Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a hospitality or club environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of marketing principles and experience with marketing software/tools is a plus.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
