    up to $7,500


    The Vascular Interventional Radiographic Technologist at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH performs vascular interventional radiographic procedures for cardiovascular studies in specialized areas.

    This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, benefitted day shift position and requires call coverage. The rate for call pay is $10.50/hr. While on call, team members cover IR, Vascular and Neuro cases. As a level one trauma center we do see trauma cases and stroke intervention. We rotate through the weeknight coverage and weekends are covered from Friday night through Monday morning with one team.

    When fully staffed, coverage is required every 6th weekend and every third week, one night of primary call and one night of backup call.

    For this position, we are offering a $7500 sign-on/retention bonus. *The bonus is for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.

    Responsibilities

    Performs radiographic procedures for cardiovascular studies. Prepares patient for procedure; explains procedure. May inject prescribed medications under the direct presence and supervision of Radiologist performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. Performs venous punctures and maintains central venous line during examination. Be prepared to administer CPR. Operates radiographic equipment to produce angiographic, digital, and other specialized images. Performs follow-up monitoring until patient leaves the department. Performs digital and manual subtraction on images. Performs hemodynamic monitoring duties. Sets up and maintains transducer, physiological data recorder, ECG monitor, oxymetry, digital cardiac outputs, and peripheral vascular recorders. Orders, maintains, and understands the use and function of all ancillary equipment used in both diagnostic and therapeutic examinations. Performs quality control checks on equipment, ensuring proper procedures are followed. Coordinates daily work schedule with Radiologist and responds to emergencies as they occur. Teaches use of cardiovascular equipment and procedures to staff. Trains with IV team prior to perform venous punctures.

    Qualifications


    • Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology, with one year of experience required.
    Required Licensure/Certifications


    • Registered with the A.R.R.T.
    • Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
    • Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
