    Description

    Overview:

    Dental Care Alliance is hiring a full-time Tax Associate to join our team to prepare income tax returns and assist with ancillary tax functions and special projects. This individual will be reporting directly to our Tax Director.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare the organizations income tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065) and workpapers.

    2. Prepare federal, state, and local tax inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities by drafting responses.

    3. Assist with any tax audits.

    4. Research various tax issues and stay up to date on changes in tax laws.

    5. Foster a team environment; demonstrate support of management and decisions and build a positive culture to work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.

    6. Other duties as required.

    Work Environment:

    Remote

    Physical Demands:

    Sitting for 8-10 hours. 4 trips to Sarasota (main) office a year.

    Qualifications:

    1. Degree in taxation or accounting required.

    2. Income tax preparation experience preferred.

    3. Strong knowledge of Excel.

    4. Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.

    5. Ability to multi-task with strong attention to details.

    6. Good verbal and written communication skills.

    7. A quick learner and self-motivated personality.

    8. Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
