    Openwork is currently assisting our Harris County Client in their search to fill a Communications Intern specializing in Marketing for a 4 month project.
    The Job Summary:The Communications Intern will provide support to the Director by working under the direction of the Communications Manager. This position will provide communication and marketing support for the department-wide communication plan. This position will create a wide variety of communications collateral and promotional components including the development of advertising campaigns, extensive layout and design of print and digital marketing materials, social media content, reports, and other documents.
    Experience/Training/Knowledge/Skills:
    • Standard office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word, excel, PowerPoint, and outlook.
    • Methods and techniques of proper phone etiquette.
    • Customer service and public relations methods and techniques.
    • Graphic Design using design programs.
    • Website and social media management.
    • Maintaining confidentially critical and sensitive information.
    • Developing materials that are consistent in style, professional in appearance, communicate points effectively, and represent the organization as a trusted resource.
    • Reading and following directions and procedures accurately.
    • Composing correspondence and compile and arrange data in a readable and comprehensible manner.
    • Self-discipline, dependability, and ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands to accomplish outcomes.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with co-workers, employees, community partners and resources, and the public.
    • Providing customer service with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
    • Maintaining the highest standards of ethical behavior, exercising honesty and integrity, respect, confidentiality, and fairness in the execution of responsibilities.
