Job Description

Alteryx Server Administrator

Remote
Bluehawk Consulting is seeking an
Alteryx Server Administrator to support a widely known and growing aerospace company.

The data engineering team, in supporting multiple business intelligence partner teams, needs to find an Alteryx admin to assist in the rollout of the server, upkeep + performance of the tool, and training for its users.

You will work closely with data engineers, business intelligence engineers, analysts, but also less-technical information workers with a background in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Installing, managing the configuration and maintenance of the Alyteryx Server and the host servers that that it runs on.
• Monitoring server performance and generating alerts for usage spikes.
• Keeping a backlog of improvements that can be worked against to support product growth.
• Supporting the user base in terms of technical assistance, putting together a training program and hosting office hours.
• Potentially aiding in support of other applications comprising the enterprise data platform.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

• College degree in information technology or appropriate work experience in a related area.
• Minimum of 1 year of Alteryx server administration and general knowledge about the ETL product space.
• Strong SQL skills, analytical instincts and ability to understand the root of the problem.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in the Atlassian product suite or similar experience in ticket management.
• Understanding of code management in Git, and modern data pipeline tools.
• Experience with AWS or other Cloud environments.
• Experience in Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience writing Terraform for developing config as code for infrastructure deployments.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace a plus
