- Post project award, liaise with the Enerflex sales Team to hand over all data used for estimating and understand the background and particulars associated with the project.
- Identify the customer's requirements (technical/products problems, execution issues) and bring effective solutions.
- Clarify technical issues with the customer (technical clarification, answer technical comments, deviation requests) and achieve a resolution.
- Attend certain internal and external meetings (kick off, coordination, HAZOP etc.).
- Develop the project P&ID's and requisition all major equipment and coordinate all other deliverables.
- Participate in all aspects of design review with the project team.
- Ensure proper understanding of the Customer's technical needs inside Enerflex.
- Generate the engineered Bill of Material for the assigned project items.
- Ensure accuracy of job quality requirements.
- Perform P&ID walk down of final package to ensure compliance with design.
- Manage and schedule drawing list submitted to the customer.
- Follow up on technical issues through shipment and commissioning as needed.
- Manage and control engineering hours allocated to the job.
- Support the correct scheduling and monitor the progress of vendor drawings.
- Project Management: Report on engineering issues and progress for all assigned items.
- Design & Drafting: Coordinate and approve all design & drafting deliverables.
- Project Engineering: Technical interface with suppliers to obtain quotations for all assigned items.
- Purchasing: Technical interface with buyers to confirm BOM accuracy for all assigned items.
- Manufacturing: Technical interface with shop personnel and field operations for all assigned items.
- Quality: Identify all testing specifications and signoff on all testing activities.
- Service: Support activities for all installation, commissioning, and startup needs.
- Network and develop relationships with customers to further the Enerflex brand reputation and promise.
- Model and champion Enerflex core values in ways that center team culture on these values.
- Abide by and promote the Enerflex HSE policy.
- Engineering or Engineering Technology degree or equivalent background
- Minimum Five years of experience, preferably in reciprocating compressor packaging or related field
- Solid IT skills
- Fluency in English

Summary
In general, the Enerflex Project Engineer will lead all other Engineering Groups (process, instrumentation, controls, design & drafting, vessels and purchasing) in performing all tasks required to support the production of the final product. In addition, they will work with the Project Manager to coordinate all logistical particulars with the customer and all other departments within Enerflex. The Enerflex Project Engineer will be responsible for the engineered items including procurement as outlined in the detailed responsibilities listed below.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Interface with the Enerflex sales Team, the Enerflex operations Team and our Customers.
Lead internal design activities and technical decisions to support the project.
Lead the Quality Assurance program for the Enerflex designed products.
Own the planning of all engineering activities.
Support and interface with other company functions.
Qualifications
Enerflex will provide sufficient training for all new Project Engineers to help them understand the processes, systems and business models that exist at Enerflex, so that they have the necessary technical aptitude to execute their work efficiently and effectively. The amount of training time devoted will depend on the person's background, however it is expected that a college graduate will require additional training when compared to a person with work experience.
