Ensures QRE's are properly reported.
Participates in site meetings to address patient care and operational requirements, including one-on-one communication.
Interprets, fills, and verifies prescriptions.
Counsels patients on medication usage.
Monitors drug therapy in conformance with OBRA Act.

Properly handle and process expired and returned medications.
Supervises staff and workflow processes.

Facilitates the professional development of staff.
Accepts responsibility for maintaining and updating knowledge of all new and existing policies and procedures and participates in education of staff.
Holds and leads routine staff meetings to communicate key information.Implements and assists in the training and orientation program for all new employees.
Reviews and approves travel expense reports.
Ensures legal and reporting requirements.
Responsible for submitting reports and logs to Director of Pharmacy.
Participates in center and provider meetings regarding pharmacy operations, updates, pricing changes and drug availability.

Maintains patient confidentiality.
Adheres to Quality Policy and participates actively in Quality Improvement Process activities.

Responsible for physical appearance of the Pharmacy to include all housekeeping, cleanliness, neatness, sanitary conditions, and orderly filing of Pharmacy data.
No eating or drinking in patients' view.Ensures optimum employee satisfaction by maintaining a work environment of trust, open communication, and respect for each employee as an individual, and by identifying and working to fulfill the needs and goals of each assigned employee within the work setting.
Exposure to infectious/contagious illnesses.Exposure to chemicals and inhalation of antibiotics during reconstitution.
Must utilize universal precautions in clinical or exposure situations as recommended by federal, state, and local guidelines and/or law.
Exposure to violent, irate patients.Establishes and maintains clinic hours to best meet the needs of Damar's residential and Damar Health Services clients.
Shows initiative by identifying process improvement opportunities in order to provide the most relevant, compassionate, and up-to-date care to all Damar clients.
Collaborates with both internal and external medical providers in an effort to ensure client and patient continuity of care.
Maintains admitting privileges at a designated local tertiary care center in order to ensure patient needs are met when level of care exceeds what can be performed in an office setting.
Oversees client health records and ensures recordkeeping in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.:
What you need to be considered... Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
Minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
Current and valid Indiana Pharmacist license
Certification in immunizations
Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
