    Description
    Provide quality engineering guidance for multiple projects supporting U.S. and friendly foreign Governments, as well as commercial clients, conducted under recognized quality standards for hardware, software, and manufacturing.
    Review customer quality requirement flowdowns and assist with creation of appropriate quality assurance and project plans.
    Perform quality system audits and surveillances to determine and evaluate the level of compliance on projects.

    Acting as an integral team member, support product development and project management activities from the proposal stage through product delivery and warranty service activities.

    Interface with project engineers and division management, as well as customer, supplier, Government, and contract representatives as necessary on quality-related issues.

    May support environmental testing of products, some of these activities may be conducted outside for prolonged hours (>90 degF).Potential work environments include limited exposure to wide range of laboratory quantity chemicals (with fumes/odors), i.e.

    paints.
    Review solicitations and prepare proposals and cost estimates for satisfying quality systems requirements.
    Perform contract reviews.

    Prepare, assist in the implementation of, and verify compliance to quality and program plans to ensure contractual quality requirements are met.

    Review purchase requisitions and coordinate inspection, test monitoring and surveillance programs to verify compliance. Conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
    Prepare and measure quality system effectiveness through KPI tracking.

    Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming material and perform investigation and analysis to determine root cause, corrective action, preventative action, and effectiveness.

    Communicate and coordinate daily with project personnel and QA engineers, scientists, and management.
    Help formulate and improve quality assurance policies and procedures.

    Requires a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Aeronautics/Aerospace Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related STEM discipline with related experience.

    Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ certification) or similar is preferredCandidate with an active security clearance is preferred6 years: Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, fabrication, or research environment in a quality or relatedFamiliarity with quality program standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025, CMMI or AS9100Experience working as a contributor to a project team is requiredFamiliarity or interest working with software developmentMust have excellent communication skills to work with project staff, management, and client representativesA valid/clear driver's license is required
