Position Overview:
The Manager of Nursing plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care through the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing diagnoses. They focus on achieving goals set by patients and families while offering clinical expertise to nurses and staff involved in providing cancer care services. This role oversees the management of the Clinical Supervisor, site nurses, and medical assistants, and represents nursing in initiatives to enhance care delivery.

Functions under the Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner job description. Accountable for the delivery of patient care by maintaining and advancing nursing education and clinical practice. Provides support to the Clinical Supervisor and medical assistants, and acts as a consultant to other department managers. Responsible for staff recruitment, development, and performance management, as well as administering time and attendance-related tasks. Collaborates with other stakeholders to address nursing service issues and improve corporate service goals.
