Akkodis is seeking an Mechanical Design Engineer for our Contract Position role with our client Aerospace/Avionics in Cincinnati, OHPay Range:
$40/hr. to $45/hr. on w2. (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Role Summary:
Lab has recently undergone a major renovation, during which an outdated and non-functional test system was decommissioned.
All required new test equipment has been procured and delivered, but the system has not yet been fully integrated or commissioned.
The team needs someone who can come in, understand the lab setup, and take ownership of getting the new spin‑test system working.
Design responsibilities include detailed 3D modeling of the new make hardware,
collaboration with engine and facility counterparts to define interfaces (Fan, MSE, TSD, TEH, etc.), and coordination with our signal transmission device suppliers to ensure capability.
All designs need to be assessed against applicable Design Practices with sufficient analysis to progress through Design Reviews. Typical projects require stress and modal assessments using FEA, bolted joint analysis, stack-ups, crack propagation and more.Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Recent grad can apply, but they must have 1-3 years experience in Mechanical Design.
Familiarity with NX or similar modeling software
Structural Analysis experience required, Ansys would be great plus.
Excellent skills in PowerPoint and MS-Word.
Desired Characteristics:
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Willingness to learn the slip ring and telemetry wireless data transfer
Ability to manage program deliverables and schedule
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
