- Teach adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Enhance work skills within classroom and community settings
- Mentor individuals to enhance independence
- Think creatively to adapt your own interests, such as art, music, and health & fitness, to teach individuals new skills
- Develop and implement curriculum both inside and outside the classroom
- Create and implement Individual Support Plans (ISP)
- Plan and oversee community-based activities
- Assess individual needs, help create teaching programs
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals as they strive to reach their goals
- High School diploma is required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred
- A passion and dedication to supporting our people
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass a CORI background check, fingerprinting, and reference check
- Pay increases after 1 year of service, pending a performance evaluation.
- 3 weeks of vacation, 1 week of sick time, 12 holidays.
