    The Smart Handheld Specialist sets up, distributes, and maintains McLane's inventory of Smart Handheld (SHH) devices. They troubleshoot issues, replace defective devices, and maintaining inventory and tracking reports.


    • Load software on each Smart Handheld device according to the Common Book of Record number and image printer (if applicable).
    • Test each unit to verify all applications were downloaded properly.
    • Conduct test scans on products to verify a Smart Handheld is working.
    • Package Smart Handheld devices and ship to requesting division.
    • Perform customer support by answering questions the customer might have in regards to the device or its application.
    • Perform and support software upgrades and refurbish older units.
    • Troubleshoot damaged and non-working Smart Handheld units to determine if serviceable.
    • This position has additional responsibilities. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Have at least 2 years of call center or computer testing environment experience.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word.
    • Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
