    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a current state license for a day shift assignment in an acute care hospital.

    Responsibilities
    Work in an acute care hospital setting in a Physical Therapy unitThe hospital has 49 staffed bedsDay shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMMay be required to cover inpatient therapy on weekends every two months on a rotating basisFloat to a nearby facility within 15 minutes may be required as neededCharting is done using OBix and McKesson; additional systems used are Pyxis and SBARScrub color is flexible; any color is permittedFree parking is available in unrestricted spacesPrimary responsibility includes providing physical therapy services to acute care inpatientsFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFinalized requests for time off must be submitted during application, with no RTO in the first two weeks and a maximum of 10 days allowedNo full calendar week of RTO permittedTeam may float clinicians to nearby location as needed to meet patient care needs

    Requirements
    Current state Physical Therapy license required; compact license accepted if applicableAt least 2 years of recent acute care PT experience required; will consider candidates with 1 year on reviewBLS certification required; ACLS certification preferredMust submit required licensure and certifications for considerationLicense must be in hand prior to start date
