    HR Coordinator ­- Head Start / UPK - Hybrid

    $50,000 to $55,000 annually

    As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will perform a variety of human resources recruitment related functions as directed by the HR Director for the Early Childhood Education Division. This position requires previous experience working within a Universal Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start program.


    Position Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all on-boarding and background checks process of ECE employees from job offer to start date, and utilizing automated ADP on-boarding experience platform to avoid duplicate efforts
    • Keeping track of prospective new hire on-boarding statuses on Pipeline Report to be reported to program during bi-weekly calls
    • Will support with recruitment needs as instructed
    • Issuance of offer letters for new hires and transferred staff as per fully executed DocuSign and assessment form, subject to supervisor's approval
    • Correspond regularly with GoodEgg/background checks vendor for degree verifications, reference checks, employment verification etc., as required for CMCS/ECED
    • Correspond with prospective new hires daily and regularly to ensure on-boarding time remains on schedule, and escalate issues that may arise with supervisor or ECED team
    • Responsible for processing State Central Registry checks, scheduling of fingerprints through DOE/PETS and DOI, nominating prospective new hires in PETS/DOE fingerprint database and submitting new hire packets to DOH/Central Clearance Unit
    • Coordinate with ECE team to schedule Parent Council Interviews for new hires and transferred staff for final approval before confirming start dates

    Requirements:

    • Associates Degree in related field
    • 1-2 years' experience supporting in recruitment/on-boarding of staff in Head Start / UPK setting is required
    • Comfortable presenting/discussing on-boarding progress with hiring managers, suggesting recommendations, or discussing challenges
