A Cloud Security Engineer position is available at a local defense company, aligning with their transition to a comprehensive cloud environment.

The role incorporates cloud configurations, controls, vulnerability management, and building out a zero-trust environment The position strikes a balance between high-level strategic planning and hands-on keyboard tasks, offering opportunities for career advancement.

This role, based in Maryland, follows a hybrid working schedule (once a week).

The company is seeking ideal candidates with a minimum of 3 years of robust experience in cloud security, preferably in AWS.

A background in zero trust in the cloud and data security is anticipated, along with expertise in vulnerability management, creating cloud formation templates, and other technical skills.

**Security Clearance required
Required Skills & Experience

6+ years' experience in cyber security
4 years' experience in the cloud (AWS, Azure, or Microsoft)
1+ years' experience in AWS cloud security
Able to build and secure cloud and zero-trust

Desired Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or related field
Certification in one or more of the following: AWS, AZ, CCSK
