    Compliance Operations Manager | Tucson, Denver or Phoenix

    Create and maintain a culture of compliance in the company through auditing, education, and training.

    Ensure compliance with Department of Education requirements for published disclosures, enrollment agreements, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), and the United States Department of Education (USDE) e-App/ECAR reporting.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Evaluate and audit company processes and recognize areas of risk and weakness.

    Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence; create and manage effective action plans responding to audit discoveries, unethical practices, or compliance violations.

    Assist with educating and training employees on regulations and industry practices.
    Oversee IPEDS and USDE e-App/ECAR reporting.

    Ensure enrollment agreements, affiliation agreements, catalog, prospective student handouts, outcome reporting, disclosures, and websites comply with Department of Education requirements, FTC regulations, accreditation agency requirements, and other Federal/ State agencies and regulatory bodies, as applicable.

    Collaborate with departments and assist with drafting and revising company policies.

    Work with the regulatory team and financial services to stay abreast of changes in State and Federal regulations, ABHES standards, programmatic accrediting agency standards and policies, and other agencies.

    Organize and maintain detailed records of individual and group activities about company compliance in an easy-to-access and read format.
    Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Regulatory Operations.
    Travel may be required for specific assignments.
    Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

    Interviews, hires, orients, and trains new employees
    Reviews, approves, and submits the time sheets to the payroll department or system.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree in Education, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
    Three (3) years of regulatory experience or equivalent experience with the U.S. Department of Education, other Federal agencies, State regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies.
    Experience with IPEDS and USDE e-App/ECAR reporting.

    Technical writing experience:
    instructional documents, policies, procedures, release notes, or white papers.
    Public relations and /or professional training or teaching experience.
    Proficient with Google Workplace, Microsoft Office, and other computer applications.
    Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Master's Degree in Education, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
