    Scope of Job

    • Build relationships with the participants
    • Assist participants in developing relationships with each other
    • Hold participants accountable for their behavior
    • Model positive attitudes and behaviors
    • Organize study groups/tutor
    • Serve as a resource
    • Promote the mission of the Joint Admission Medical Program
    • Provide program support to the JAMP coordinator
    Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

    Current SOM Students

    • Must be available weekdays/evenings/weekends
    • Must be available for the entire 4 week program
    • Comply with all student policies as described in UTRGV's student policy handbook
    • Attend mandatory mentor training sessions
    Preferred Qualifications

    Selected JAMP / VMD Mentors only
