Job summary
We are seeking a Highway Resident Engineer to oversee new infrastructure projects with construction values ranging from $1-$50 million. This position can be based out of Boston or Chelmsford MA and Providence RI.The resident engineer will manage various work elements including excavation compaction cast-in-place concrete MSE walls guardrail drainage overhead sign structures and other incidental items.
Your Impact Hands-on or management duties will include Managing a staff of inspectors and on-call material technicians Daily interface with the contractor subcontractors and project owner Chairing progress meetings preparing minutes Reviewing interpreting construction contract documents Overseeing work for conformance to plans specifications Reviewing technical submittals shop drawings Anticipating resolving design construction issues Completing daily reports measuring calculating tracking unit price quantities Leading the contractor's pay requisition development review approval process Evaluating potential change orders making recommendations Supporting final closeout process Exercise responsible ethical decision-making regarding company funds resources conduct adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct related policies procedures Proven track record upholding workplace safety ability abide by WSP's health safety drug/alcohol harassment policies.
