Per diem is paid to be onsite.

We are seeking a qualified waste shipper to ship radioactive demolition debris.

Work location West Valley, NY

The individual will be required to complete General Employee training (GET) and radiological worker (Rad Worker1) training for daily access to the site. The individual will be required to prepare shipping documents and shipping instructions in accordance with company procedures (assume one to two weeks to become familiar with the procedures). The individual will also be subject to the drug screening program since they will be on site more than 80 hours this year.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a two year technical degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of five years of experience as a certified waste shipper
• Experience shipping to Energy Solutions preferred.
• Experience shipping by rail preferred.
• Rad Worker 1 (company will provide)
• Experience using RADMAN software preferred.
• Experience completing NRC 540/541 form required.
• Training documents showing current radioactive waste shipper certification preferred.
• Other relevant training records
• Provide a brief description of the most recent shipping experience. The type of radioactive waste shipped, where did it ship from, where did it ship to, mode of transport, highway or rail, etc.
