Description
Carry out engineering projects in various capacities based on protection and control system standardsServe in various roles, including project, proposal and site work leader.
Develop and implement protection and SCADA systems for substation projects.
Configure and provide expertise in different protection systems and concepts.
Provide protection system support for clients remotely or onsite.
Develop commission protection and control systems on site and within the BBA digital power systems lab.

Overview of certifications and job requirements
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma (technologist) in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, automated production engineering, telecommunications or network administration or any other relevant training
Knowledge and use of different standard protocols like DNP3, Modbus and IEC 61850 within industrial or utility applications
Available to travel to our BBA offices across Canada
Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client sites in Canada
Asset:
Bilingual (English and French)
Asset:
Experience in power control systems for generation and renewable energy sectors
Asset:
Operational and brownfield experience with industrial and utility systems
Asset:
Knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard and the PRP, PTP, SNTP, MMS, GOOSE and SV communication standards.
