    Description

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for administrating the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Carries out responsibilities in the functional areas as follows: Human Resource Information System (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits administration and leave, compensation, recruitment, and candidate selection.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    1. Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists with implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
    2. Responsible for new hire employee orientation, development, and training.
    3. Coordinates staffing efforts. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Participates in selection of candidates for open positions.
    4. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
    5. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

    6. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

    7. May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

    1. Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits to employees. Assists employees with various matters benefits, compensation, etc.
    2. Processes payroll and applicable reports.
    3. Maintains human resource information system (HRIS) and compiles reports from the database. Updates and maintains various systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
    4. Maintains Human Resources office filing and storage systems.
    5. Assists with event planning and implementation.
    6. Monitors the performance evaluation process.
    7. Responsible for posting of open internal positions and assists in selection process.
    8. Responsible for timekeeping of temporary labor and provides information to temporary employment agencies.
    9. Coordinates and organizes appointments and meetings.
    10. Greets public and clients and provides direction.
    11. Must maintain positive communication among other shifts and departments.
    12. Adheres to plant safety requirements as established by company policy.
    13. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
    14. Required to adhere to applicable IATF and ISO 14001 requirements.
    15. Other assignments and responsibilities as required to support organizational and team objectives.
    Qualifications:

    A bachelors degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field or the equivalent in work experience and education.

    Additional certification in the Human Resources field a plus.

    Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures and their application in the day-to-day working environment.

    Good communication skills, both oral and written.

    Must possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

    Excellent computer skills, experience in MS Office programs preferred.

    Attention to detail required.

    Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.

    Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion

    Good attendance, punctuality and dependability.
