    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    We are looking for an Automation Architect with strong well-rounded Automation skills. This role operates as a technical, direct facilitator in the Quality Organization and will own test automation architecture for the Quality test engineering efforts. The ideal candidate cares deeply about efficiency in the software development process and has demonstrated experience leveraging industry-leading

    tools and frameworks to deliver complete automated test suites.

    The anticipated salary range for this role is between $154,000 and $195,000. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Some roles will also qualify for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, Manufacturers Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Develop, execute and lead (in collaboration with Test Manager) the Automation planning, Scripting, and maintenance strategy.
    • Design and develop a reusable architecture for the Automation & API test frameworks for various repeatable tests including re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts.
    • Collaborate in creation of overall QA Program estimates for Automation team and Automation Timelines.
    • Lead automation script development and optimization of those scripts.
    • Manage the execution of automated tests and its automated scripts integration with the test management tool.
    • Able to perform analyses to solve complex problems and motivate peers to produce creative products and services.
    • Create strategies and plans to adopt and maintain the automation scripts and Test data.
    • Collaborate in overall automation effort, influencing the direction, effort, schedule, and prioritization.
    • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
    • Direct and mentor QA Leads and team members in the use of the automation framework and scripts.
    • Drive the testing automation capabilities by leading identification, selection, and implementation of tools to support the automation.
    Position Requirements

    POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

    Education: 12+ years of work experience in IT with BS/BA/MBA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.

    Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
    • Automation Strategy - Exceptional knowledge and experience developing strategy and implementing test automation in collaboration with the application development team and functional area counterparts.
    • Automation Framework Development - Direct experience developing several types of automation frameworks (web, mobile, API) from scratch and using related tooling, including Selenium, Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Rest Assured or equivalent web-service automation tool, Azure pipeline or similar CI/CD tools.
    • Test Automation Systems - Experience selecting the optimal test automation technologies for solutions delivered using disparate languages and platforms in collaboration with test and development engineer counterparts.
    • Partner with the various software infrastructure teams to optimize the CI/CD pipeline and implement quality gates to support DevOps.
    • Delivery Maturity - Direct involvement in efforts to mature Automation and DevOps practices for the organization as it relates to test automation, increased quality, and delivery optimization.
    • Cloud - Enterprise experience in a hybrid Cloud environment is a plus.
    • Strategy assurance - Perform ongoing functional checks to identify anomalies in decisioning logic.
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • Experience leading frameworks of QA Automation of large multi-team programs.
    • Bring in depth knowledge of multiple open source/commercial tools for Web/Mobile/Services automation.
    • Direct experience with Selenium based framework.
    • Concrete experience practicing BDD testing with Gherkin/Cucumber, API testing with SOAP or RESTful components, Mobile testing with Appium.
    • Expertise in building Automation frameworks of Desktop/Web-based/Mobile software.
    • Expertise in building API automation framework, Web Services testing using SOAP, Postman, or Rest API.
    • Good Knowledge of the testing concepts, methodologies.
    • Able to analyze data and use testing metrics to highlight improvement opportunities.
    • Critical thinking skills including the ability to troubleshoot and identify problem areas throughout testing.
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms.
    • Competencies around DevOps, Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
    • Good knowledge of JIRA tool, Reporting and Dashboarding

    • Certifications in any programming languages (C#, Java).
