Be part of a growing successful company in an exciting challenging field Border States is 100% employee-owned which means you re empowered to make decisions find solutions receive rewards for your hard work This position will be located in Fargo ND Job Summary Supports the operation functions of the warehouse and delivery services Provides delivery of materials to customer sites or branch locations Maintains a clean vehicle daily driver logs and daily vehicle inspection reports Completes truck summary drivers log and other back detail daily Assists with loading unloading material and provides exceptional customer service Responsibilities Essential Functions Provides delivery of material to customer sites or other branch locations Maintains delivery vehicle in clean good working condition monitors maintenance mileage data Maintains daily driver logs daily vehicle inspection reports DVIR Completes truck summary drivers log backup detail Assistants loads unloads material at branch customer locations Supports operating functions warehouse Pole Drivers Drives over length vehicles tight turning areas highway traffic off road conditions Works on construction sites pole yards handling large poles using special equipment Rigs oversize loads pole trailers proper hauling public highways Travels rail yards unloads poles rail cars CDL Trainees Must complete onsite local training center driver training courses acquire CDL license Becomes familiar effectively completes pre post trip inspections cargo securement techniques Completes training utilizes technology used onboard vehicles like Drive Cam Encompass handheld capture POD devices DVIR E-log Nonessential Functions May conduct Vendor Managed Inventory VMI as part of route Performs warehouse functions order filling stocking shelves processing returns receiving shipping needed Checks packs delivered items performs assists duties projects assigned supervisor manager Qualifications Prefer minimum two-year business trade degree equivalent work experience Prior warehousing distribution experience including forklift operation electrical products systems preferred Minimum years age required Clean driving record essential In town delivery drive experience preferred Valid Class B CDL drivers license state residence current medical certification required Ability read write speak English Working knowledge PC Windows Internet Email SAP software plus Skills Abilities Performs aspects accurate efficient providing excellent customers service all times Works safe following safety program guidelines policies Excellent interpersonal communication reading writing speaking English skills Ability plan organize Physical Requirements Lift carry requirements weight frequency Occasionally Frequently Continuously etc You must able perform essential duties satisfy requirements either reasonable accommodation
