    Mortgage Banker Accountant

    1st Signature Lending is a mortgage banker located in Fishers, IN by I-69 and 96th St. Due to increased sales volumes, we are expanding our current accounting staff. This position would report directly to SVP of Administration. This is an hourly position, non-exempt from overtime, that would work 42-48 hours per week.

    Job Duties:

    • Prepare analysis for every mortgage loan closed
    • Reconcile multiple bank accounts
    • Enter payables and pay bills in timely manner
    • Assist other accounting staff when needed
    • Monitor outside representatives credit card activity
    • Receive and process multiple customer payments
    • Review of receivables and assist in collections
    • Prepare schedules and other spreadsheets for audits
    • Help answer customer inquiries about payments and accounts
    • Help train new staff in accounting procedures
    • Prepare monthly closings and reports needed for board of directors
    • Interaction with other departments

    Qualifications:

    • Strong EXCEL skills
    • 5 years experience in accounting
    • Degree helpful but not required
    • Knowledge of mortgage industry and/or home construction industry is helpful
