Job summary
The Safety Manager (SSHO) oversees the development, implementation and enforcement of the safety program for all contract operations. This role ensures full compliance with federal state local and DoD safety regulations and maintains a safe working environment for all personnel.Responsibilities
- Perform daily safety and health inspections
- Conduct mishap and incident investigations
- Maintain current and applicable safety reference materials ensure availability to employees subcontractors review enforce compliance of the Accident Prevention Plan APP Activity Hazard Analyses AHAs approve revisions monitor implementation establish manage a Safety Occupational Health SOH Deficiency Tracking System document track ensure closure of all outstanding safety deficiencies Ensure all employees subcontractors comply with contractual regulatory safety health requirements Maintain an up-to-date hazardous chemicals inventory materials on site Prepare weekly high-hazard activity report covering work involving energy control equipment use excavation confined space entry elevated work be prepared brief leadership associated controls Prepare submit required safety reports logs analyses senior leadership ensuring documentation complete accurate delivered per contractual deadlines
