POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to ensure operating hydraulic and pneumatic machinery is maintained and operational to meet operations demands. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and re-building of all operational equipment along with the facilities maintenance. Candidates must have a successful track record working in a fast pace, hands-on working environment with a "can do" approach and results-driven.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a safe work environment.
Strong troubleshooting experience with Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and electrical equipment.
Ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
Ability to perform Installs, repairs, and maintain machinery, and equipment, and set up automated equipment.
Willingness to perform maintenance and support duties, both planned and unplanned.
Runs diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance activities in all areas of the plant.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ability to repair/install HVAC, fans, heaters, split systems, etc.
Ability to work with 120/240 lighting.
Understanding of LOTO
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic within an industrial manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Vocational Technical diploma in Maintenance/Mechanics a plus.
Working experience in machining, design capability, and Integration; PLC Programing, mechanical, electronic, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and advanced electrical skills.
2+ years of MIG/STICK Welding Skills.
Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical drawings, and procedure manuals.
Knowledge of PLCs, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is desired.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Must be willing to work overtime when necessary to keep equipment functioning to meet customer demands
Ability to understand and comply with LOTO standards.
Understands 5S for workplace organization and ISO9001 quality standards.
