Are you a skilled auto mechanic who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity?

S Automotive and Fleet Services is looking for an auto mechanic to join our team

S Automotive & Fleet Services is an independent auto repair shop serving Reading, PA, Wyomissing, PA, Shillington, PA, and surrounding areas. We are a NAPA AutoCare Center with ASE-certified technicians on staff who undergo continuous training to stay up to date on the best repair practices for your vehicle. We're also on hand for preventive maintenance.

As a mechanic you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance work on vehicles and trucks. Working on all parts of the vehicle, including but not limited to the engine, exhaust system, air conditioning system and electrical system. The mechanic is also responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and fixing problems, as well as overseeing routine maintenance inspections.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

• Provide customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Perform maintenance and repair of vehicles in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers problems and provide accurate repair.
• Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals and experience.
• Inspect vehicles according to state requirements for emissions and safety.
• Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness.
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for garage records.
• Maintain a clean working environment and adhere to workplace safety procedures.

Skills and Requirements

• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic components of vehicles
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Technical understanding of modern automobiles
• Skilled in the use of garage tools and equipment in the repair of automobiles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship
• Minimum one (1) year auto mechanic experience, required
