    Summary:


    We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer, Reliability and Operations to support our Hot Rolling Process Facility (HRPF) in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania (suburb of Pittsburgh).

    Our HRPF is a $1.2B state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that enables us to respond faster, develop new products to match our customers changing needs, and produce specialty and stainless products in unprecedented geometries.

    In this role, you will be focused on electrical system and equipment (e.g. high-voltage power, transformers, switchgears, motor drives, generators, etc.) maintenance, reliability and electrical safety.

    A key aspect of this role is evaluating the Power Distribution PM Program and providing the support to identify and develop efficient methods and processes to optimize efficiency and reliability through technology innovation.

    A successful Electrical Engineer adds to the expertise and knowledge in a facility that is a market leader in delivering specialty metal coils, stainless steel sheet and specialty plate to global customers.


    Essential Functions:
    Lead and/or support site effort to reduce equipment failures, operating costs, and production losses

    Develop standard operating procedures to improve quality or reduce or eliminate quality problems.

    Troubleshoot problems, analyze and resolve issues accurately and efficiently. May inspect, certify and evaluate on-site operational systems and design modifications.

    Monitor plant electrical maintenance work to ensure that it conforms to safety and code requirements

    Coordinate project work with plant organizations. Estimate project electrical and instrument costs, manpower needs and schedules.

    Review and analyze complex statements, standards, specifications, engineering drawings and other documentation to determine engineering requirements.

    Provide and direct technical expertise and assistance to engineers, technicians, hourly craft personnel, etc.

    Determine test criteria and perform and/or support the performance of testing involving the electrical integration of equipment and processes.

    Develop or modify computerized procedures for testing of electronic assemblies and systems.

    Prepare reports, proposals and presentations analyzing customer technical requirements and recommend solutions and process improvements.

    Prepare specifications, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with selected contractors and vendors.

    Responsible for electrical and instrumentation aspects of capital and expense projects.

    May design, test, install and maintain electronic equipment, components and machinery in operations areas.

    Work closely with electric utility companies on electrical matters.

    Consult with management of problems and process improvement objectives.

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology Engineering

    eferred Qualifications

    (in addition to Basic Qualifications)

    3+ years of electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial industry

    Experience with Siemens drives

    Experience with power distribution and switching

    Experience with process controller installation, electronic systems, control instruments, maintenance, and programming techniques

    Skills

    Effective oral and written communication skill with internal employees and external customers at all levels

    Strong ability to analyze and resolve problems to the root cause and implement corrective actions

    Ability to lead, train and be a team play following all company policies, union contracts and safety regulations

    Ability to work independently with high motivation and organization capabilities

    Possess excellent mathematical reasoning abilities in order to comprehend and apply engineering principles
