- Manage audit planning which includes initial review and setup, managing audit flow, post audit documentation, and recommendations to improve company compliance. Analyze the audit procedures and documentation to determine if the state and local authorities followed proper procedures.
- Identify areas of exposure and manage the reverse audit processes to minimize risk and liability.
- Develop overall audit strategies and individual strategy implementation.
- Coordinate with sales tax compliance section to assist in setting policies and procedures for proposed tax legislation based on audit results.
- Responsible for driving successful results of audits based on set parameters. Coordinate audit litigation (if necessary) with internal tax counsel.
- Train, motivate and develop associates and administrative tasks.
- Responsible for the sales and use tax reserves, which includes reconciliation and adjustments.
- Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.
- MA/MST/MBA or Equivalent Degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance/Tax
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Up to 25% travel
- 18 years of age or older
- Excellent project management and presentation skills
