    Schedule:
    Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm


    Purpose Statement/Position Summary:


    The Clinical Informatics Analyst I will be responsible for identifying appropriate solutions, make recommendations and carry out the appropriate design, build, and test to meet business requirements of the healthcare team utilizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

    The recommendations will include utilization of system functionality that could include but not be limited to:
    documentation tools, forms, orders, order sets, rules, reports and other new functionality.

    The Clinical Informatics Analyst will collaborate with other team members to ensure that the content and flow of information is consistent and integrated throughout EHR and provides for seamless delivery of patient care.

    The Clinical Informatics Analyst must have basic understanding of regulatory requirements including but not limited to:
    TJC, HIPAA, and Title 22.

    The Clinical Informatics Analyst will serve as a liaison to all departments regarding enhancements, issues and requirements related to the electronic medical record.

    Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:


    5 years preferred design/build/test experience with an electronic EMR within an acute care or outpatient health care setting (1 year required).

    Experience with Cerner clinical information systems highly preferred. Project management experience preferred. Children's hospital experience strongly preferred.


    Education/Licensure/Certification:
    Minimum Education/Training Required. Bachelor's degree highly desired. Licensure / Certification in Health-related field highly desired. Masters degree preferred. Skills Required Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint. Must possess an understanding of electronic documentation. Knowledge of acute care and outpatient regulatory documentation requirements including JCAHO, HIPAA and Title 22.

    Must have well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills along with strong facilitation, negotiation, organizational, and team building skills Should be able to communicate and interact with different levels.

    Pay Scale Information

    $89,440.00-$160,992.00

    CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization.

    Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

    The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.

    Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
