    Job Description

    The ideal candidate will possess a tirelessly positive attitude, as well as the desire to grow in a rewarding career (we don't believe in dead-ends around here). You must have superb communication skills, be REALLY reliable (it disappoints the residents when you are a no-show). Resilience, flexibility and willingness to learn are essential.

    Core responsibilities:

  • Operate Company's 15-passanger vehicle and SUV to transport residents on outings/personal and doctors' appointments.
  • Help the Director set up, tear down for, and implement creative activities, outings and programs that enrich our resident's lives.
  • Promote participation in activities and help foster social connectedness between residents.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service while developing rapport with residents, visitors and coworkers.
  • Learn the programs/activities industry and best practices in senior well-being and how the pieces of the puzzle fit together.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support roles at the community.
  • Qualifications

  • MUST be a team player
  • Must be able to safely drive 15-passanger non-CDL bus.
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Insatiable appetite for learning – this is a COMPLEX industry with a lot of moving parts -- what you learn in this job will set you up for success
  • An inquisitive mind -- the best people for this role simply ask the best questions and genuinely want to help find optimal solutions for residents
  • Impeccable communication abilities – both written and oral.
  • Outgoing personality You have to enjoy – truly enjoy –interacting with people in all mediums (via e-mail, phone, and face-to-face).
  • Resourcefulness – ability to work independently when needed AND as a member of collaborative team.
  • Above-average skills in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook.
