    Responsibilities


    The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to be in accordance with professional nursing standards, skillfully administering total patient care to the adult and pediatric patient requiring recovery from an anesthetic agent.

    Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on established standards.


    Qualifications



    Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or eligible for New Jersey license. Employment will be contingent upon receiving New Jersey licensure. Adult Medical/Surgical experience preferred. BLS required. ACLS and PALS certification required or obtained by end of orientation. CCRN and/or CPAN preferred. Ability to employ problem solving techniques and critical thinking. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move patients with/without reasonable accommodations. Ability to organize care/activities of multiple patients. Successful completion of a Critical Care Course or CCRN Certification preferred. Phlebotomy Certification or IV Certification must be obtained prior to completion of unit-based orientation. Proficiency in the English language is required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS).
