As a
Sales Analyst , you will be instrumental in analyzing and reporting on Solo Stove's key retailer partners performance metrics and providing insights to optimize sales performance and identifying any areas of risk.
You will be in a critical supporting role to our sales team and work cross functionally with other departments and key stakeholders to leverage data-driven insights for decision-making and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Data Analysis:
Resource and analyze retailer partner data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization.
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) include, but not limited to; retailers POS/Sell-through data, item level performance by store/region, inventory levels, weeks of supply to name a few.
Utilize data business intelligence/data visualization tools to extract and share actionable insights.Sales Performance Monitoring:
Develop and maintain sales dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor performance metrics. Identify deviations from targets and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Sales Planning:
Build predictive models to forecast retailer inventory demand, sales revenue plans, and identify emerging trends. Evaluate model accuracy and adjust forecasting methodologies based on historical data and market dynamics.
Competitive Analysis:
Conduct competitive analysis to understand market dynamics, benchmark performance against other competitors, and identify areas of competitive advantage. Monitor competitor pricing strategies, product offerings, and market positioning to inform sales strategies.
Sales Process Improvement:
Collaborate with sales operations teams to streamline sales processes, improve sales workflows, and enhance sales productivity. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the sales pipeline and recommend process improvements to accelerate sales cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product management, and finance to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the organization.Revenue Optimization:
Manage, track and provide visibility to all revenue deductions including promotional rebates, customer returns, retailer coop accruals.
Manage and be the expert on all retail partner portals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Sales Analyst or Business Analyst, preferably with a branded manufacturer or national retailer.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales analysis tools and languages such as Excel and Pivot tables.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Knowledge of statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and segmentation analysis.
Familiarity with B2B sales processes, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and marketing automation platforms.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
