    Job Description

    Commercial roofing company is seeking a Business Development professional to develop its client base and increase service revenue sources within the Central Valley, Sacramento and Bay Area regions in California.

    Responsibilities:


    • Establish new clients in designated territories through cold calling, B2B marketing and networking events.


    • Maximize market potential by working with current customers, warranty customers, etc.


    • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.


    • Establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on businesses near geographical area of scheduled site visits of existing customers.


    • Contact new and existing customers, schedule, and conduct site visits.


    • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.


    • Based on customer needs, bring in Estimator to provide alternatives, recommendations, and budget pricing for repair, restoration and replacement options as appropriate.


    • Close new business deals by presenting proposal(s) and negotiating contract(s) terms with Estimator as needed.


    • Provide technical expertise and cultivate relationships with local facility representatives.


    • Utilize CRM database of completed (warranty) projects and existing customers to provide roof inspections and other services. Add new customers to CRM database to track progress.


    • Work with Service Manager and Service Superintendent to ensure jobs are scheduled in a timely manner.


    • Communicate effectively with clients and local management teams.


    • Other projects and duties as assigned by Manager.

    Requirements:


    • 2-3 years commercial roofing experience – Preferred


    • Sales experience in commercial roofing or similar industry


    • Fundamental knowledge of roof systems and repair applications – Preferred


    • Basic working knowledge of computer programs (Office, CRM)


    • Strong written and verbal communication and time management abilities


    • Organized person and enjoys working outside


    • Lift up to 50 pounds, and climb up/down a 30 ft. ladder or many flights of stairs to roof


    • Capable of receiving instructions and clearly explain problems and solutions to customers


    • Abide by all job-site safety requirements, including PPE, and fall protection


    • Must be team orientated and be willing to perform based on the company's Core Values


    • A valid driver's license and insurable driving record

    Benefits:
